The Company:

My client is a global conference company who work on over 1000 large events every year. They are fast growing and cover a number of sectors including energy, finance, pharmaceutical and legal. They have a strong emphasis on employee development and progression, and can offer fantastic opportunities in both the UK and International offices.

The Role:

The role of the marketing manager is to research, develop, and proactively manage international direct marketing campaigns on a diverse range of strategic business issues. You will identify the suitable target audience and create strategic partnerships with trade publications and trade associations in order to promote an event in the form of direct mail, inserts or advertising. You will oversee the brochure production process and ensure that the design and ?feel? of each event is appropriate for the target market. You will also manage on-line marketing for conferences. You will look to create reciprocal banner ads and affiliate programs with strategic partners to compliment your marketing campaign.

You will have complete bottom-line responsibility for creating marketing plans for our conferences that combine direct mail, Internet, email, fax, integrated marketing and liaison with the telesales department.

Key Goals:

· Detailed response analysis
· Conducting list research and selection
· Forging strategic marketing partnerships with associations, publications and research organizations
· Creating innovative marketing plans
· Creating budgets
· Writing copy for marketing letters and promotional materials
· Working closely with other internal departments i.e. telesales.
· Working with list brokers, DP houses, printers, mail houses and other vendors

Competencies & Qualifications:

· 1+ years of experience within a b2b publishing, conference or exhibition Marketing Manager role
· 2:1 degree preferably gained within a business related subject
· Excellent ability to work to tight deadlines
· Strong team player and orientation towards teamwork
· Excellent analytical skills


Salary:

£25k - £30k Salary +
Company Profit Share (£5k-£7k)
Targeted bonuses (approx £3k)
