Systems Administrator

We are looking for a systems administrator who will be able to maintain and support the systems we have in place to host my client’s game. The Systems Administration Team is responsible for creating, supporting and maintaining the Servers based across the world, by liaising with the hosting companies, and also facilitating the systems we currently have in place at our multiple working locations. The opportunity will be ideal for anyone who has strong knowledge of Server technology, primarily UNIX / LINUX, be able to prioritise jobs accordingly and work to very tight deadlines. You will be working in a fast paced development environment so the ability to be flexible and adaptable is a must.

Typical tasks will include:
- Maintaining remote and locally hosted Linux servers;
- Work closely with hosting companies to ensure smooth running of the remotely hosted operations;
- Working directly with the CTO to design and implement solutions to a wide variety of system administration problems.

What we are looking for:
- Excellent knowledge of Linux administration and related technologies;
- Strong programming skills with C or C++ or Java or Python;
- Experience of kernel level development;
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines effectively;
- Able to work on own initiative;
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written.
- An advantage:
- Experience with the Debian Linux distribution and with Cisco IOS Software;
- Experience with Bash Scripting;
- Experience with Windows OS.
