Technical Support Engineer

Working in the IT/ Telecommunications industry. The candidate will be working within our team of technical support engineers to provide technical support to our clients for the services we provide to them, and also internally to other staff using our internal systems.

Responsibilities include:
-Responding to client technical support enquiries via telephone and email -Diagnosing technical problems
-Escalating serious technical problems to the relevant engineer
-Updating clients on a regular basis while support tickets are open
-Monitoring our systems
- Support of internal desktop PCs and common software packages

What we are looking for:
The candidate should be an enthusiastic, diligent individual with a good numerate degree from a respected university. A computer science degree is not prerequisite but a strong interest in computing is essential. Furthermore, they should have excellent A Level grades ideally including Maths (A) and Science subjects (A/B).

The candidate should have a genial, professional manner and should be comfortable with working in a small, dynamic, busy company. They should be able to set their own objectives within a rapidly changing framework and be persistent in pursuing them. Demonstration of excellent problem solving and networking knowledge will be necessary. Good communication skills and an eye for detail are essential to this role.
