Students and graduates frequently attempt to travel the world and gain new skills before University and before starting employment. Employers typically value skills gained during gap trips but prefer to see evidence that travellers have gained valuable life skills rather than simply embarking on an 18-30 style boozy holiday!

Teaching English abroad is a common way to combine seeing the world with earning income and gaining life skills. Qualifying with a TEFL qualification opens up numerous overseas opportunities and can be arranged prior to travelling abroad.

Typically TEFL courses are taught over an Intensive Weekend course lasting approximately 20 hours. This allows students to gain a Level 1 TEFL qualification enabling students to teach TEFL worldwide on a conversational basis.

Follow up courses typically requires a further 80 hours of study, qualifying students for the 100 hour TEFL certificate. This can be completed at the student's own pace from home, or whilst working as a TEFL teacher. This course is designed to deepen and broaden the knowledge of the student.
